Day 57 of the 2016 season: A wild rodeo session - winds gusting from 10-35 mph

A type of session that depletes any confidence you had. Overpowered gusting conditions on the 11 so I rigged the 9 and still the gusts were overpowering. Punchy gusts practically pulling the bar out of my hands. More of surviving sailing than anything else. The first half hour on the 11 was nearly perfect but after that it wasn't enjoyable often enough to justify being on the water. Lucky for me I had someplace to be by 3:00 so I called it quits at 2:00.

T.O.W.  11:30-12:30 11M Z1 and 1:00-2:00 9M Z
Gear:    11M Z1 and 9M Z
Water Conditions: 2-5 foot voo-doo chop with some organized swell for slashing
Weather:  nearly a bluebird day, mid 60s
Wind:  SW to WSW generally gusty from 10-35 mph
Highlights: a ride fit for a rodeo show, overpowered on the 11m and the 9M
