Session 61 of the 2018 season: Esch Beach - a confused lake full of giant swells

Gear: 9M Naish Pivot kite with TT Mako board
TOB:    1 hour, 3:00-4:00
Winds:   15-40 SW-SWS-W
Weather:  Sunny, 51 degrees at launch time
Surface:  Confused
Highlights: Checked out  Frankfort beach, too gnarly and no one there.
Went to Esch beach and it seemed a tad tamer. So I rigged up the 9M for a
gnarly session, confused swell, gusty clocking gales.
A quickie session that I must admit wasn’t all that much fun. Swell coming from 3 different directions, winds gusting from 15-40 mph. I couldn’t get into any rhythm. Jumping not good, even slashing the inside swell wasn’t right.
About the only good thing was it did get sunny with 51 degrees at launch time.

Surface:  Some nice wind driven swell to slash

Craig, Keith, Chris, Mark, Larry. Millard and 3 others enjoyed this near epic session.

Session 59 of the 2018 season: EPIC Linwood slicks

Gear: 11 M Pivot to 13M Slingshot kite and TT board
TOB:   2 sessions between 1:00-6:00
Winds:  NE-ENE 15-30 mph
Weather:   cloudy and some rain, mid 50s
Surface:  Slick city
Highlights: First session, short and underpowered on the 11M. Second session, a marathon session on the 13M and TT. As soon as I rigged the 13 the wind ramped up which made conditions near perfect for the 13M kite. Straight to the slick where I played for the next 2.5 hours, jumping, boosting, olling, carving did it all with a butter smooth surface. Worked on my reverse toe side with great success. The 13M kite was well powered with the steady, solid wind conditions.
A record distance traveled, logging over 50 miles. A near epic slick day!
Keith, and 4 others that did  the downwinder.

50 plus miles

Session 58 of the 2018 season: A well deserved day at HI

A solid 11M, TT session with Keith.
Starting out cloudy and mid-60s then sunny and mid-50s.
Winds were NW clocking to NE.
The wind was surprisingly a solid 15-30 mph through out the day.
One ride out to the slick, spent a short period of time there. The wind clocked from NW to NE ruining the slick conditions.  Overall a near epic day.

Gear: 11 M Pivot and TT
TOB:   2 sessions between 12:00-5:00
Winds:  NW-NE 15-30 mph
Weather:   cloudy then sunny near 60 degrees
Surface:  small swell
Highlights: A well deserved day at HI
