Session 43 of the 2019 season: Near Epic Lexington to Sanilac Kitesurfing, emphisis on the surfing part

Near Epic Lexington to Sanilac Kitesurfing, emphisis on the surfing part

Near epic Lexington Kitesurf session with rare southeast winds at 15-30 mph.
Also included a rarer yet Lexington to Port Sanilac downwinder.
9M to 12M conditions for most of the 15 kiters that were out riding.
Fun clean inside swell to carve up for most of the trip downwind.
Mostly sunny with air temperatures in the lower 70s and the water temperature was as pleasant as it gets for Lake Huron.
A nonstop session for me starting on the north side of the Lexington harbor then heading upwind to join Keith for awhile and see what the south side looked like. Heading back to the north side I got the thumbs up for the downwinder to Port Sanilac. So with 20 miles and 1:30 minutes already accumulated we headed downwind. At least 15 kites all at once. Probably a sight never seen before.
Overall a near epic session with the inside swell really cleaning up in certain spots.
So tired at the end I nearly had to crawl out of the water, the waves and currents were actually knocking me down.
Nearly 50 miles in 4 hours of nonstop action.

Gear: 9M Pivot with TT
TOB: 12:30-4:30
Weather: Mostly sunny, low 70s, rare SE winds 15-30 mph
Water: Nice inside swell to carve up
