Day 13 for the 2013 season - lucky session?

Day 13 for the 2013 season -Metro Beach 5-31-2013 Friday
Squally winds before the storm just lucky enough to be there at the right time for perfect 5.5 riding conditions.
Warm winds, water and air. Windy conditions due to storm heading toward MB.
Rigged the 5.5 on the 101 liter board - fairly steady to gradually building conditions.
Easy to get on a plane and stay planning due to the nice organized swell.
A storm hit the area around 2:15 with the effect of killing the wind.
It did come back later and lured people out but it soon dropped off to slogging conditions.
Sail sizes for the day were 8.0 down to 5.5.

Sail Time: 1.0 hour from 1:00 - 2:15
Gear: 5.5 with 100 liter board
Conditions: Organized swell to play in
Weather: Air 75s water 70s.
Wind: SSW to 25 mph pre-storm winds.
Schooled: Fun jibing in the close together swells.

Day 11 - Finally scored some warm weather windsurfing

Blue Lagoon 5-15-2013 Wednesday.
Day 11 for the 2013 season plus it's finally warm out.

Finally some warm weather windsurfing with warm winds although the water still felt cold.
Big crowd gathered at BL today with the forecast calling for west winds 15-25 most were satisfied with the results.
Rigged the 5.5 on the 101 liter board - Gusty conditions with a mix of wind speeds. I would say 5-30 mph were the norm.
Most sailed on 6.2 down to 5.0.
Nice session over powered with the 5.5 during the gusts but it all worked out well.
Some occasional voodoo chop but for the most part I was happy with the rare organized swell and as usual flat hero jibing on the inside.

Sail Time: 2.0 hours from 12:00 - 2:00
Gear: 5.5 with 100 liter board
Conditions:  Gusty - some voodoo chop among some organized swell.
Weather: Air 75s water 50s.
Wind:  NW to W 5-30 mph
Schooled: Hero jibes on the swells and inside hero jibes on the flats.

Day 10 - Finally a Home Opener

MetroBeach 5-14-2013 Tuesday.
Day 10 for the 2013 season first outing on home surf.

Getting lazy -  got to MB late around 3 pm rigged and on the water by 4 pm.
Larry, Harry, Lou were just about sailed out by the time I got there.
Nice session slightly under powered with the 5.5 but it worked out well.
Fun times in the unusual swell must of been the ESE winds that caused them.

Sail Time: 1.5 hours from 4:00-5:30
Gear: 5.5 with 100 liter board
Conditions:  Rare ESE conditions, nice wavy action
Weather: Air 60s water 50s.
Wind:  ESE winds maximum of 15-25
Schooled: Hero jibes on the swells
